SUSPENSE/HISTORICAL/ FORENSICS/ARCHAEOLOGY MYSTERY
QUESTIONABLE REMAINS
Some stories take more than one lifetime to tell. One such story began 429 years ago when a band of renegade Spanish conquistadores in search of treasure betrayed and massacred American Indian villagers on a path through the Southeastern wilderness, leaving behind them Indian survivors filled with outrage and hatred, consumed with desire for revenge. Archaeologist Lindsay Chamberlain's summer vacation trip takes her along the same path these ancient enemies followed, and their stories reach through time and touch her life in a very remarkable and unexpected way. During her trip, Lindsay is asked to investigate the accidental death of three cavers. In photographs of the victims, Lindsay's eye for bones observes something very wrong with the original coroner's verdict. Her discoveries arouse forces that plunge her into the darkest moments of her life.
