Award winning author Kathleen
Lamarche has been a journalist with close ties to law
enforcement and a keen interest in politics for more than 25
years. She owns a private security company that protects large
hunting plantations in Florida and Georgia and recently
graduated Magna cum Laude with a B.A. in Creative Writing from
Florida State University.
Her articles have appeared in Concepts, American Hunter, and Florida Wildlife magazines, as well as a variety of newspapers. THE PLOT, her debut novel, won first place in the Suspense/Thriller category of the 2002 Authorlink New Author International Awards competition.
Kathleen is married to her high school sweetheart, has a son, a daughter, two young grandsons, and two dogs. Born in St. Joseph, MO, she lived in Park Ridge and Elk Grove Village, IL, then moved to Coral Gables, FL. When she was 16 years old, she moved to Hallandale, FL. After graduating from South Broward High School, she moved to Tallahassee, where she "discovered southern charm, moss-draped trees, and shockingly beautiful springtimes." She now resides in her new waterfront home at Shell Point--a secluded community on the Gulf of Mexico about 40 miles south of Tallahassee-where she says she does her best writing.
When she's not running her business or writing, Kathleen enjoys fishing, reading, politics, shooting sports, and reruns of the original Star Trek series. She is currently writing her second novel.
