Read A Review:
Abby Rose, owner of Yellow Rose Investigations, is an adoption private investigator in Texas. Abby is asked by Cooper Boyd, Chief of Police in Pineview, to help identify a woman in a coma. She was the victim of an automobile accident that doesn't appear to have been an accident. One of Abby's business cards was found in the car. Unfortunately the woman is so bruised and battered that it is difficult for an identification.
Abby decides to compare the handwriting on the back of the business card to all the correspondence she's received in her business. Her Aunt Caroline offers to help. Soon it is discovered that Aunt Caroline is quite ill.
Abby and Aunt Caroline find the letter, but it doesn't help them find out who wanted the victim dead. Instead Abby is hired by the wealthy grandfather of the woman to uncover her past. She finds an entire family of people with reasons for wanting her out of the picture.
Kate, Abby's twin sister, helps with the investigation. Jeff, Abby's boyfriend and a local detective, helps her some as well. Can she find the killer without putting herself or this woman in further jeopardy?
I really enjoy this series. Kate and Abby are such likeable characters. I like the fact that Abby is an adoption private investigator. It provides such interesting storylines to the series. I also like how Jeff tries to protect Abby, but doesn't smother her.
I especially enjoy the Texas setting. That's a place I've always wanted to visit, so I enjoy getting to know it through the series.
This is a great cozy mystery series, and I can't wait for the next installment. I highly recommend this book! Give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed!
