Mignon F. Ballard
I was born and raised in Calhoun, GA, and graduated with a degree in journalism from the Univ. of GA. I am the author of 13 novels, 12 of which are mysteries.  For Aunt Matilda's Ghost, my first published book and the only one for young readers, I received the Excellence in Writing Award from Winthrop University for the best published book for children that year by a SC writer. Several of my books have been published in paperback, large print and in foreign editions.  After seven Augusta Goodnight Mysteries, the first in a new series, Miss Dimple Disappears, will be published by St. Martin's in Nov. to be followed in 2011 by Miss Dimple Rallies To The Cause. I live with my husband, Gene, in Fort Mill, SC. We have two daughters and five grandchildren.
