Tony
Perona is a former General Motors advertising/public relations
manager who became the first man to take advantage of the
company’s two-year leave-of-absence policy to stay home and take
care of his children. When the company decided not to reinstate
him, he continued to stay at home and opened his own business,
Tony Perona Writing, to supply free-lance public relations and
marketing work for other companies. He is also the author of
the Nick Bertetto mystery series, featuring a stay-at-home
dad/former investigative reporter who has a knack for solving
mysteries that involve a supernatural element.
His novel Second Advent was called a ‘distinctive first novel’ by Publishers Weekly and a ‘winning first novel’ by Mystery Scene magazine. Regarding his followup effort, Angels Whisper, Mystery Scene said, “Perona is as adept at evoking laughter as he is at creating a sense of menace.” He is at work on the third in the series, Saintly Remains.
