Sassy Pickles
from Dead Wreckoning by Sylvia Dickey Smith
60 to 64 oz. thin sliced hamburger dill pickles, drained
4 cups sugar
3 Tablespoons minced garlic (or more as desired)
2 teaspoons Tabasco Hot Sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes (more if desired)
 
Pour drained pickles in a large bowl and add other ingredients. Let sit for two hours, stirring well every half hour.
 
Put pickles back in jars and store in refrigerator.
 
Delicious pickles! Once you taste them you will want to keep a jar in your refrigerator ready to eat.
