Blizzard conditions in a New Hampshire mountain pass result in a tragic, but hardly surprising accident...which becomes the catalyst for a series of what seem unrelated events. A witness to the first event, avid rock climber Greg Taylor is involved in a desperate effort to find a missing hiker, a search that reveals many dangers can't be put down to bad luck. Supported by an unrepentent busybody and an anxious truck driver, Greg becomes increasingly convinced that the real target, like the killer, is as yet, unknown.

Set in the lovely, wild areas of New Hampshire's White Mountains, readers will traverse ledges, admire wildlife and delight in the charms of the local inn. This story contains not only all the puzzles of an old-time mystery, but also, the adventures of a modern mountain search and rescue team. From rock climbing to driving an eighteen wheeler, this lively mystery spans only a few short days, but readers quickly discover that every clue counts...

Read A Review:

Bob Gallagher is driving a tractor trailer on a mountain road in a snow storm. Unfortunately he ends up in an accident. Greg Tayler is a witness to the accident but feels there is more to it. No one will listen to him.

Soon after, Bob’s wife goes missing on the mountain. The staff at The Black Mountain Inn along with Bob Gallagher end up searching for her. Bob and Greg pair up and end up in some sticky situations.

As the search continues, Greg is still not convinced everything is as it seems. But can he prove his suspicions without someone getting hurt?

It took me a little while to put the pieces together and understand the mystery, but once I did it pulled me in. There are so many little happenings that you aren’t sure what is connected and what isn’t.

The author does a great job of creating a puzzle and only giving little clues to help solve the puzzle. She has created great characters and a wonderful setting. The climbing really adds to it as well.

I recommend you check out this new author and book. She’ll keep you guessing until the end.
